We believe that people and values are the most decisive factors influencing an organisation’s success. More decisive than, for instance, procedures, policies and strategies. As the world-famous management consultant Peter Drucker said: “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.”
Value
CULTURE
TRUST
Trust is one of the most fundamental values in a human relation and therefore also in business relationships. Trust is also considered to be a universal value. It goes for everyone of us. The reason why we explicitly mention trust as one of our driving forces is that we feel that especially in this turbulent era, our trust is constantly being tested. People feel more vulnerable and are more likely to protect themselves, build up walls and break connections. It takes courage to stay open in the middle of “a storm”. We encourage each other to be brave because we find that the rewards are worth the risk.
SIMPLICITY
Einstein is quoted to have said: “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler”. When we make things too complicated, we lose interest and focus. We become less effective. On the other hand, when we oversimplify a situation trying to keep a sense of control, we lose the essence. So keeping things simple is a matter of balance.
EXECUTION
We see an increasing interest in execution. A more integral approach towards thinking and doing. We believe that this is a good development. With more appreciation for the people doing the actual work. We see this reflected also in the rewards people get.
Nowadays a good specialist can make more than a manager. We strongly believe that a good balance between ideation and execution is paramount for the success of an organisation. Especially in a time were ideas and information are available for most people.
BEING INTERESTED
We believe that it is more important to be interested in people than it is to be interesting to people. Being really interested means that we see the other person. We wish to understand the essence of the matter at hand. That’s why we continuously strive to listen on all levels, with our heart, body and mind.
This does not mean we do not want others to be interested in us. Of course we do, but being interested is simply more important to us.
IMPROVEMENT
(Helmut Smidt)
Improvement and evolution are the driving force behind all great accomplishments. Evolution is and always will be. We constantly question ourselves how we can do better, what we can do to improve our services, our products and ultimately our lives.
CURIOUSITY
(Marcel Proust)
We wish to understand why things are the way they are. Without asking the right questions, without being curious you will never discover the essence. As a service provider we value that quality highly. Looking at what it is we think we see, looking at it again from a different perspective and then when we think we understand, we look again. We constantly challenge our assumptions to discover the simple essence.
COURAGE
Trust is one of the most fundamental values in a human relation and therefore also in a business relationships. Trust is also considered to be a universal value. It goes for everyone of us. The reason why we mention trust explicitly as one of our driving forces is that we feel that especially in the turbulent era that we are living in today, our trust is constantly being tested. People feel more vulnerable and are more likely to protect themselves, build up walls and break connections. It takes courage to stay open in the middle of “a storm”. We encourage each other to be brave because we find that the rewards are worth the risk.
HUMOR / ENTHOUSIASM
(Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Enthusiasm gives energy and that is where we stand for. Enthusiasm is contagious and makes doing your work more fun for yourself as well as our partners. Enthusiasm and humour make things lighter and ensure that we continue to put things into perspective. Without perspective there is no growth!
